This is a unique safari combining wildlife, wilderness and culture across Botswana. The seventeen day adventure starts in the south of the country at Gaborone and takes you through the contrasting environments of the Central Kalahari, the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park.


As you travel your hosts, guides and advisors will mainly be local people. They will show you, for example, how to survive in the Kalahari. You will have the opportunity to get to know the Batswana and their culture and through them to experience the fantastic wildlife and scenic spectacles of the country.

Safari 3: A walk through rural Botswana

This tour is ideal for anyone looking for a short break in beautiful countryside. You may choose a one-day outing, a five-day hike or anything in between. The terrain we walk through during the five-day route varies from flat, green and shaded where it follows the Kolobeng river to rugged and hilly with views of distant purple horizons.

The places visited along the way include a rock shelter with stone age paintings, a working cattle post, an ancient battle ground and the home of a traditional doctor. Accommodation and food is provided by Batswana families in traditional homesteads. More

Safari 4: View the Big 5

Just an hour’s drive across the border into South Africa visit Madikwe Game Reserve. This is one of the largest private reserves in Southern Africa and boasts the Big 5. Kaie Tours will book your lodge accommodation in the reserve and arrange the transfer from Gaborone to the lodge. Accommodation ranges from rustic to luxury.
