A deposit of 50% is required in order to confirm your booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the start date of your tour. In the event of cancellation less than 30 days prior to the start of the safari the deposit is not refundable. In the event of cancellation more than 30 days prior to the start date of the trail, an administration fee of US $10.00 per person will be levied.
Please note that no refund can be made in the event of cancellation less than seven (7) clear calendar days before the booked date of arrival.
We regret that we can make no exception to the above charges, and therefore strongly recommend that insurance be taken out to cover cancellation and/or curtailment charges. In the event of the company cancelling a safari, which it shall be entitled to do at any time before the scheduled departure date, the full amount paid by the customer will be refunded to him/her.
We require that clients arrange travel insurance prior to departure from their country of domicile to cover against medical treatment. The insurance should also include emergency evacuation cover. It is important to note, however, that some of the time while we are out in remote areas with little to no medical facilities and with no immediate way of communicating with the outside world.
Each person is allowed one medium-sized soft bag and a small day-pack to carry in the vehicle.
Visa requirements change from time to time. It is advisable for the client and/or Travel Agent to ensure that Passports, Visas, Re-entry visas and Health documents, as required are valid prior to the commencement of your safari.
Clients will be asked to sign a standard indemnity form before commencing any trip.
Because our safari take us into remote areas to which there is no modern line of communication and where people are unaccustomed to clock-watching we cannot guarantee that everything will happen to plan and exactly on time. However the bush telegraph system works well most of the time!
The clothes you pack should comprise light, rugged items of the jeans/slacks variety, shorts, cool tops and strong walking shoes. From May to September anoraks or warm sweaters are recommended, and a tracksuit in which to sleep, as evenings can be deceptively cold. You will need a suitable lotion for protection against sunburn, lipsol, an insect repellent, sun hat, sunglasses, binoculars, torch with spare batteries, toiletries, towel and washcloth. For best results in wildlife photography the use of a telephoto lens (minimum 200mm) is recommended. A zoom lens can be very useful. It is wise to bring with you extra camera film and batteries.
