Christopher Toye

The managing director of Kaie Tours and professional guide Chris has many years of experience leading walking tours in wilderness areas of Africa and Papua New Guinea. His previous career was in art education. In connection with that he published extensively on the subject of ethnic minority cultures and has a strong interest in the maintenance of cultural diversity.

Our local guides were born inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. They have 'insiders' knowledge of the bush and are learning to project their culture in an interesting and meaningful way.

In camp they go about their duties efficiently and unobtrusively to help make sure you enjoy the bush camp experience.

Our safaris are however participatory with everyone lending a hand around camp.

Stephen Matija is a qualified professional guide. With earlier experience of working in the Delta he has in depth knowledge of animal behaviour.

The others who contribute to our safaris are the people in the communities who are your hosts, too numerous to list by name.
